A very special Christmas!

Hello family and friends and happy 2014! We are home from our first week long vacation as a family of four! We were fortunate enough (and brave enough) to be in Atlanta with my family for our first ALL family (grand & great-grandparents, aunts & great-aunts/uncles) in 10 years.

We celebrated Christmas early at our house on Christmas Eve so that Daven could open his gifts and have a chance to play with them before jetting off to Atlanta the following day.

Making my first Gingerbread house!

Helping Mom pack...

It may be hard to believe, but this was the FIRST flight Nathan has taken with us! Yep, this Momma has flown solo with Daven 4/5 flights...one being 7 months pregnant! As always, Nate was an amazing father and took charge of D and the flight process the whole time...it was a blessing to have him with me!

We seriously took all forms of transportation to get to my parents because we thought D would enjoy it...and oh how he did! By plane, train (Marta), and automobile we arrived at the Stewart household around 6pm and jumped right into the Christmas celebration! Pictures were taken, food was eaten, and more gifts were opened, but the best part of the trip was being able to see my entire extended family and introduce them to our newest addition (the extra "holding" hands were a nice reprieve as well!)

FIRST picture of Nonnie & Pop-Pop with the boys (D kind of cooperated!)

Cousin picture minus one! Daven decided he needed to be in the picture too...

We also celebrated two very special birthdays- Alex's 25th and Daven's 2nd! Thank you sweet sister for putting up with Elmo cakes and random birthday candle numbers all for the sake of your nephew!

The week was long, loud (we don't know how to be quiet in my family), and busy, but only in the best of ways. It truly was the best Christmas gift to spend such quality time with my family...something I don't get to do too often.

Grady very happy to be home in WARM[er] weather!
